One of the leading Online grocery startup Grofers, which as of late raised Rs 400 crore in as new round of funding, said on Wednesday it has initiated grocery delivery alternatives by means of Electric Rickshaws in the national capital region New Delhi to diminish logistics and delievry by around 25 percent.
The organization said it means to upsize the fleet operations to 50 elecric-rickshaws on Delhi-NCR streets in the following 3-4 months.
The introduction of this environment and eco-friendly electric vehicles will help Grofers reduce cost of delivery by 25 per cent and cater to the growing influx of orders, the company said in a statement.
At first, clients in South Delhi will get their staple goods by means of e-vehicles. The administrations will then be reached out to different areas.
“To keep pace with the snappy appropriation of online grocery demand in Delhi-NCR, we are reinforcing our logistics operations. E-rickshaws are perfect for last-mile availability,” Grofers prime supporter and CEO Albinder Dhindsa said.
